Katie & Hunter’s Engagement Session | From Sunset Romance to Mud-Splattered Fun

When I first chatted with Katie and Hunter about their engagement photos, they mentioned something that instantly made me smile—some of their favorite dates were spent in their RZR side-by-side, exploring trails, kicking up mud, and cracking open cold beers. Honestly, that told me everything I needed to know about them: fun-loving, adventurous, and totally themselves.

We started their session with a more elegant, romantic vibe at sunset—the golden light wrapping around them while they laughed, cuddled up, and shared those quiet, sweet moments. It was gorgeous and timeless… but I had one more idea I couldn’t let go.

I asked them, “What if we also did a wild, muddy, beer-soaked RZR session—just totally you two, the puppers, and comfy clothes?”

Without hesitation, they were in… Well Katie was… hahaha Hunter had noooooo idea what craziness he was getting into when he agreed :)

Cut to the second half of their session: mud flying, beers popping, and laughter echoing through the trees as they tore through the trails in their RZR, completely owning who they are and how much fun they have together.

It was chaotic, hilarious, messy—in the best possible way—and honestly, one of my favorite sessions ever. These two showed up fully as themselves, and the results? Pure gold.

Katie and Hunter, I love that you weren’t afraid to get dirty (literally) and celebrate your story in a way that felt authentic to you. I can’t wait to see where the road (or trail) takes you next.
