Rebecca + Aaron

A Gorgeous & Cold Snowshoe Mountain Elopement | West Virginia

I’m thrilled to share the heartwarming tale of Rebecca and Aaron’s breathtaking elopement amidst the snowy enchantment of Snowshoe Mountain! Here’s a glimpse into their love story and the stunning details that made their day truly magical.

It was a simple affair with only five cherished guests that shared in the joy of this intimate celebration.

The couple chose the historic Big Springs Presbyterian Church in Slatyfork, WV. This 112-year-old gem not only echoed Rebecca’s childhood memories but also embraced the couple with warmth and excitement. The simplicity and beauty of this cherished church made it the perfect backdrop for their special day.

Their love story started at work, blossoming further during shared gym sessions. The proposal happened during their December tradition of staying at the Chessie Room, a quaint bed and breakfast. A night that began with a delightful dinner ended with a beautiful promise of forever.

With a mutual love for skiing and the beauty of Snowshoe, Rebecca and Aaron opted for a classy and simplistic feel. Their color palette included dark berry red, burgundy, eucalyptus green, ivory, and deeper pinks.

The bouquets featured a delightful mix of seeded eucalyptus, ivory roses, deep burgundy carnations, and ornate dark pink/purple florals. These elegant touches added a perfect blend of nature’s beauty to their celebration.

Rebecca found her dream dress at the Rose Tree Boutique in Kenova, KY. The lace material with scattered sequins resembled glistening snow in sunlight. Aaron and their daughter looked equally stunning in classic black suits and a deep burgundy velvet dress respectively.

The intimate gathering was enriched by sweet interactions with close family and friends. Nature provided the entertainment, gracing the day with a magical snowfall that added to the enchantment.

Rebecca and Aaron’s advice to future couples is simple but profound: “Keep it simple. Focus on what matters most. It’s all about happiness, love, and celebrating that with the people most dear to your heart.”

Despite the extreme cold and treacherous travel conditions, the day was absolutely perfect. The gift of beautiful snow made the celebration even more memorable, and the intimate gathering of loved ones witnessing their vows created a cherished memory for a lifetime.

Rebecca and Aaron, your love story has warmed our hearts, and we wish you a lifetime of happiness and snowy adventures!
